Meet Stefan, Lexi & Susan from Florida

Meet Stefan, Lexi and Susan from the Gulf coast of Florida. Susan was born and raised in Jersey until she was seven then her family moved to Florida. Her parents were high school sweethearts and they are still together. They are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. She went to Webster College in Florida to be a medical assistant. Stefan was born in Leesburg, Florida and raised between Florida and Rochester, New York. The family is currently visiting his 87 year old paternal grandmother. Ever since he was 16 years old, he’s had a passion for firetrucks. As a child, he wanted to be a firefighter. This is a second marriage for both him and Susan. His first wife pushed him away from his passion of being a firefighter. Today he sells firetrucks. For 4 years of his life, he sold firetrucks to only the Caribbean. He said, “People don’t often think of the supply chain for how things like that are transported. The fire trucks are placed into large shipping containers and shipped all over the world.” Lexi is 14 years old and is excited to start high school next year. She’s an artist and makes her own jewelry. She also enjoys skateboarding and she is always outside. Every Sunday, their church members get together and do an event like kickball or football. When Susan and Stefan met, they lived on opposite coasts of Florida. Stefan said, “I would travel back-and-forth to her every week. Three weeks in a row, I got pulled over and ticketed by the same exact cop for speeding!” The couple has been married for 15 years. Stefan said, “My favorite thing about Susan is that she is always supportive of my dreams and crazy ideas. We recently bought a 35 foot sailboat. When Lexi graduates from high school we hope to embark on a year sailing expedition around the Caribbean. If after the year I can’t talk her into continuing on, then we are going to purchase a bus and renovate it to travel the country.” Susan said, “My favorite thing about Stefan is that he has a huge heart. He is very helpful with my family- especially with my elderly parents. He’s a dedicated family man. He’s a provider. He is kind and funny and he always lets me get my way.” Lexi said, “My favorite thing about my parents is that my dad brings out the tomboy in me and my mom is my best friend.” The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Live as of tomorrow’s never going come.
