Meet Victoria from São Paulo, Brazil
She has been in the United States for three years. When Betsy asked her what brought her to the United States, she said, “A Turkish man.” Victoria met him in Brazil, during COVID, while he was traveling abroad on holiday. After dating for a period of time, came to the United States as a couple. In Brazil, she worked as a dietitian. In the U.S., she started her education all over again. She pursued a project management degree, while working multiple jobs, so that she could be debt-free when she graduated. New degree in hand, she landed an amazing job but it required her to relocate. Her significant other, at the time, was not willing to move with her. She had no friends, no family, she knew no one, and didn’t have much money. Frightened and alone, she made the move anyway. It ended up working out better than she could have ever imagined. She is currently married and says that she is blessed to be living a happy, healthy, and sustainable life. She currently works as a project manager on construction sites. If she could tell the world, one thing she would tell them, “Don’t take advice from people who have not walked in your shoes or who are not where you want to be in life. Trust your intuition. You are your wisest council.” Thank you so much for visiting!
